Printing and the environment
Printing has a long held reputation as an environmentally unfriendly industry, from the production of paper and throughout the manufacturing process. By its nature printing it is an extremely resource intensive activity, consuming large quantities of fresh water, energy and forestry. However there are more green and sustainable printing technologies available. We would recommend printers who have the following:

ISO14001 the formal quality standard covering environmental standards

FSC Certification a "Chain of Custody" certified by the Forest Stewardship Council which guarantees sustainable timber products to the end user

Alcohol free print process only use vegetable based oil inks
